Product Description
Chaas is made by churning yogurt (curds/dahi) and cold water together in a pot, using a hand-held instrument called madhani (whipper). This can be consumed plain or seasoned with a variety of spices. Chaas can be made from fresh yogurt, and the natural flavour of such Chaas is mildly sweet. This type of Chaas is very close to lassi, with two major differences: Chaas is more dilute (with water) than lassi and unlike lassi, Chaas does not have added sugar.

The clove tree is an evergreen that grows up to 8–12 m tall, with large leaves and crimson flowers grouped in terminal clusters. The flower buds initially have a pale hue, gradually turn green, then transition to a bright red when ready for harvest. Cloves are harvested at 1.5–2.0 cm long, and consist of a long calyx that terminates in four spreading sepals, and four unopened petals that form a small central ball.

It is prepared by toasting, grinding and mixing some spices including cinnamon , cumin seeds , coriander , cardamom pods , cloves , black peppercorns and turmeric , but there are many variations, both traditional and commercial or housewives.
Those already prepared can be composed of more or less expensive ingredients, such as chilies , garlic , ginger powder , sesame , mustard seeds , fenneland others, very often even already toasted.
